QCC participated in the seminar ” ACI Concrete Repair Code”

Qatrana Cement Company participated as an official sponsor of the Seminar organized by Jordan Concrete Association, in collaboration with the American Concrete Institute, on the Concrete Repair Code ACI 562 issued by the American Concrete Institute at the Royal Scientific Society on Sunday, 18 March, 2018.

The seminar, was held under the patronage of HRH Princess Sumaya Bint Al Hassan, President of the Royal Scientific Society, and the Minister of Public Works and Housing, Eng. Sami Halassa, her delegate, in order to review the latest developments in the field of concrete evaluation, assessment and repair.

In a speech during the opening ceremony, Minister Halassa said that the Jordanian engineer’s knowledge of the contents of the national building codes ,prepared and developed by the Royal Scientific Society in favor of the National Construction Council, and his knowledge of the latest international codes, such as the concrete repair code recently issued by the American Concrete Institute, are considered as important elements of raising the quality of the construction product and the progress of the construction industry in the Kingdom.

The Minister honored the companies supporting this Seminar in recognition of the companies’ cooperation and support for the scientific activities aimed at raising the proficiency of the Jordanian construction sector. QCC representative Mr. Amer Al Khatib, Executive Director of Sales and Marketing received the honorary shield.
